The Dual Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education program at UBC School of Music allows students to earn both a BMus (General Studies: Secondary Education) and a BEd (Secondary, major: Music) degree within five years. This simultaneous dual-degree pathway is designed for those aiming to become music educators at either the secondary or elementary level. Students experience focused studies in both music and pedagogy and graduate eligible for a Professional Teaching Certificate. The curriculum includes core music courses (performance, theory, history, ensembles), education courses, and school placements coordinated by the Teacher Education Office.
