This dual degree program, jointly offered by Simon Fraser University (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences) and the University of Exeter in England, allows students to earn both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from SFU and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Exeter within six years. Students first complete 60 units at SFU in their chosen Arts & Social Sciences major (over two years), then spend three years at Exeter completing law courses for the LLB. They return to SFU in the final year to fulfill BA completion requirements, including a certificate in Canadian law. Students benefit from a streamlined path to both degrees, a 20% tuition discount while at Exeter, and, for those intending to practice law in Canada, a curriculum designed to meet National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) guidelines by taking all law courses at Exeter and earning a 2.2 classification or above. The program does not require the LSAT and includes additional advising and exclusive events for participants.
