The Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science (GIS) at Simon Fraser University's Faculty of Environment provides students with a comprehensive foundation in spatial data acquisition, remote sensing, spatial data analysis, geostatistical techniques, spatial simulation, and advanced visualization. The program equips students with skills in VR/XR spatial computing, multimedia cartography, machine learning, and geovisual analytics. While learning rigorous GIS methods, students also gain flexibility to branch into related disciplines such as environmental sciences and computing.
