The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at Simon Fraser University's Faculty of Environment focuses on understanding the complex relationships between humans and the environment, relying on Earth’s physical, chemical, and biological processes. The program allows students to tailor their degree by selecting from specialized streams: Applied Biology, Environmental Earth Systems, Environmetrics, Water Science, or Environmental Archaeology. Students learn critical scientific thinking, quantitative and geospatial analysis, and gain hands-on experience through labs and fieldwork. Graduates are prepared for careers in conservation, ecology, resource management, land development, urban/regional planning, and environmental research.
