The Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at Simon Fraser University provides a broad foundation in core areas such as genetics, developmental biology, physiology, ecology, and evolution. Students then specialize in one of three concentrations: Cells, Molecules & Physiology; Ecology, Evolution & Conservation; or an Open concentration. The program prepares graduates for careers in teaching, medicine, veterinary medicine, research, conservation and other life sciences fields. Emphasis is placed on both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory and field skills, with opportunities for hands-on research experiences and participation in a co-op program.
