The MBA with Specialization in Sustainability at the University of Alberta School of Business prepares future leaders to develop business strategies and operations that incorporate sustainability objectives, addressing responsibilities that go beyond financial expectations. The program equips graduates for roles in companies, non-profits, and NGOs with a focus on sustainable business, environmental stewardship, and corporate social responsibility. Students complete a minimum of 60 units of coursework which includes MBA core, specialized sustainability courses, approved electives, a 3-unit capping exercise, and fulfill professional development and ethics training requirements. The program can be completed in two years full-time or up to six years part-time, making it suitable for working professionals as well.
