The Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Alberta is a thesis-based, research-intensive graduate program. It is designed to provide clinicians and allied health professionals with advanced skills in the application of epidemiologic methods to clinical practice and health services research. The curriculum covers biostatistics, research methods in public health, multiple levels of epidemiology, and advanced methods, leading to an independently conducted thesis project suitable for publication. The aim is to train graduates capable of high-quality interdisciplinary research, improving health care and informing clinical and public health policy. Graduates are prepared for roles in clinical practice, healthcare organizations, government, industry, and academia.
