The MSc Health Policy Research program at the University of Alberta's School of Public Health is a research-intensive, thesis-based graduate degree focused on generating knowledge to address issues related to health service design, delivery, and policy development. Students complete core coursework including foundations of public health research, epidemiological methods, and health policy/systems research, as well as electives and an original thesis. The program develops advanced research skills in areas such as health outcomes, economic evaluation, and technology assessment, preparing graduates to tackle challenges in health systems and policy at both local and broader levels.
