The Bachelor of Design (Social Sciences Route) at the University of Alberta combines traditional design education with a strong focus on theory and human-centered approaches informed by the social sciences. Students study design alongside disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and anthropology, preparing them to address social, psychological, and cultural dimensions in design. Graduates develop skills for user-centered design and planning, suitable for careers in advertising, communications, UX design, product design, and more.
