The Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) at the University of Alberta provides a multidisciplinary approach to the study of human movement, integrating perspectives from psychology, sociology, physiology, motor control, and biomechanics. Students develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for promoting healthy, active lifestyles, as well as leadership skills in physical activity, fitness, and sport. The program offers specializations in professional areas of kinesiology, sport, health, and well-being, typically chosen during the second year of study. Graduates are prepared for careers in kinesiology, exercise therapy, personal training, sport management, and further health-related fields.
