The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (After Degree Program) at the University of Alberta is a direct-entry pathway for students who already hold a recognized undergraduate degree in any field. The program is designed to leverage students’ existing critical thinking, analytical skills, and broad life experience to prepare them for a professional nursing career and licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). The curriculum includes advanced theoretical foundations and clinical placements, with learning conducted in state-of-the-art facilities adjacent to major health centers. The program is completed over two years of full-time study and cannot be taken part-time. Graduates are well-prepared to write licensing exams and pursue advanced practice or leadership positions after gaining experience.
