The MA International Social Policy at the University of Nottingham explores themes such as discrimination in multicultural societies, policy frameworks in less developed countries, international migration, and comparative welfare regimes. The program focuses on the global causes and consequences of issues such as poverty, inequality, migration and the impact of international organizations and agendas on national policy. Students learn to evaluate policies critically and advise on their impacts, supported by experienced academics active in shaping social policy nationally and internationally. The course prepares graduates for careers in international development, government, social services, policy analysis, and journalism. Internship and placement opportunities with NGOs and public organizations are available.
