The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) at McGill University's Faculty of Education prepares students to become specialist teachers of English as a Second Language for elementary and secondary schools. The program features a combination of academic coursework covering linguistics, language acquisition, social, cultural, literary, and psychological perspectives, along with extensive school-based field experiences. Students will graduate with both theoretical and practical expertise in teaching English as a second language and are recommended to the Quebec Ministry of Education for provincial teacher certification.
