The Bachelor of Music (Music Studies) at McGill's Schulich School of Music is for students whose passion for music extends beyond traditional performance. It provides a dynamic and flexible environment where students can design their own interdisciplinary curriculum, integrating music theory, history, musicianship, and professional development, as well as electives from other disciplines. The program prepares graduates for diverse musical careers in fields such as arts administration, music technology, education, librarianship, and research. Opportunities exist to combine this major with minors or double majors/degrees from other faculties at McGill. The structure includes core music courses, performance ensemble experiences, and substantial elective space for personalized academic development.
