McGill University's Bachelor of Science (Architecture) develops a foundation in architectural design, theory, history, structures, technology, and the artistic and behavioral aspects of architecture. The program is design-based, covering subjects such as architectural drawing, graphical communication, organization of materials, architectural structures, and the history of architecture. Graduates use art, science, and technology to create responses to social needs through the built environment. The program is the first component of a two-part professional qualification: students may continue to a Master of Architecture for professional accreditation. Coursework includes studio and lecture-based studies, complemented by electives and fieldwork.
