The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Major Concentration in Computer Science at McGill University's School of Computer Science offers an in-depth introduction to the field. Students study foundational and advanced topics such as algorithms, programming languages, software engineering, robotics, databases, artificial intelligence, computational biology, computer vision, and more. The curriculum emphasizes analytical thinking, creative problem solving, and strong mathematical background. The program can be customized by combining a Major with a Supplementary Minor, making the curriculum nearly identical in content to the B.Sc. Computer Science major. Students in the B.A. will study alongside B.Sc. students with no distinction in classes or lab access. Graduates gain excellent job prospects in software development, consulting, project management, and diverse industries such as business, engineering, and medicine.
