The Bachelor of Science Major in Environment at McGill University's Bieler School of Environment is an interdisciplinary program offered through a joint initiative of the Faculties of Science, Arts, and Agricultural & Environmental Sciences. Students study the intersection between natural and human-built environments, learning to tackle real-world environmental issues. The curriculum involves both core foundational courses (21 credits) and specialization through one of several concentrations (domains), ranging from biodiversity conservation to environmental economics and water ecosystems. The program emphasizes experiential learning opportunities such as internships, research assistantships, independent projects, and field courses. Graduates are prepared for diverse careers in environmental policy, consulting, scientific research, assessment, communication, planning, and climate change analysis.
