The Master of City Planning (MCP) at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania, is a rigorous two-year, full-time program that trains students in the theory and practice of city and regional planning. The curriculum includes a core of foundational courses covering data analysis, legal and historical contexts, as well as practical skills through two hands-on planning studios solving real-world community challenges. Students can concentrate in areas such as Sustainable Transportation, Housing, Urban Design, Land Use and Environmental Planning, Community and Economic Development, and Public/Private Development. An internship is required between the first and second year. The program is highly interdisciplinary and offers multiple dual degrees.
