The Master of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, is a two-year training program designed for clinicians and health professionals interested in health policy, health services research, and health economics. The curriculum spans health economics, policy analysis, quantitative and qualitative methods, statistics, and advanced health policy studies. The program is highly interdisciplinary, drawing on resources from Penn Medicine, Wharton, and the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. Students develop research skills through coursework, mentored research projects, and a thesis. The degree prepares graduates for careers in academia, health policy organizations, non-profits, and government agencies.
