The Bachelor of Science in Energy Science at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Science is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program focusing on energy generation, transmission, and storage. It provides comprehensive scientific and technical understanding of all types of energy—including hydro, solar, wind, nuclear, geothermal, and fossil fuels—while integrating study of energy policy, regulation, and communication. Students take core courses in physics and chemistry, introductory and advanced coursework in energy systems, and specialized electives in non-fossil energy. The curriculum includes group project-based courses and independent study. Graduates are prepared for careers in sustainable energy industries, environmental consulting, policy, and further research.
