This 16-month, 60-credit graduate program at the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Pharmacy is designed for licensed pharmacists seeking advanced expertise in pharmacotherapy. The program builds leadership and creativity in direct patient care, including care for hospitalized and ambulatory clients. It includes a master's degree (45 credits) and a Diploma Supplement in Advanced Pharmacotherapy (15 credits), both of which must be undertaken concurrently. Students choose between two options: Health Care Facility Practice (primarily for hospital pharmacy) and Ambulatory Practice (for community pharmacy settings). The curriculum integrates coursework, workshops, laboratories, and a full-year residency/internship focused on advanced clinical skills, interdisciplinary collaboration, drug use system improvement, and participation in applied research.
