The Master of Laws – Tax Law (LL.M.) program, jointly offered by the Faculty of Law at the Université de Montréal and HEC Montréal, provides advanced professional training in tax law. It is designed for holders of a degree in law, accounting, management, or a related field who wish to gain in-depth knowledge of tax law, develop critical thinking, and become tax specialists. Courses are taught by both legal and accounting professionals, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach. The program is professional in orientation, with a strong focus on applying knowledge to complex, real-world tax issues, including international transactions and corporate tax planning. Students acquire a high level of professional autonomy and ethical reasoning. The program is mainly taught in French, with some courses potentially in English.
