York University's Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies offers both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Information Technology. These programs develop versatile IT professionals who combine technical IT skills with business and organizational knowledge. BA focuses more on technical, methodological, and management skills with flexibility for electives, whereas BCom integrates substantial business content such as accounting and marketing. Both emphasize the analysis, design, development, and management of complex information systems and offer experiential learning, internships, and opportunities for specialization. Graduates enter roles such as business analysts, IT managers, project managers, and software/web developers.
