The Bachelor of Science in Earth & Atmospheric Science at Lassonde School of Engineering, York University, is an undergraduate program offering three streams: Atmospheric Science, Geomatics Science, and Space Science. Students gain skills in weather forecasting, climate modeling, geospatial science, and satellite observations. The curriculum covers meteorology—ranging from micro scales to global systems—plus geodesy, mapping, and planetary space environments. Students have options for certificates in Meteorology and Geographic Information Systems & Remote Sensing, co-op placements for professional experience (after second year), and tailored specializations. This program prepares students for careers in government, industry, and research related to climate change, remote sensing, and space science.
