The Bachelor of Arts (BA), Educational Studies at York University's Faculty of Education provides a comprehensive foundation for understanding the role of education in society and how and why people learn. This program focuses on educational work outside the traditional classroom setting, preparing students for a variety of careers such as education policy analyst, corporate trainer, learning consultant, curriculum developer, and director of cultural institutions. The curriculum combines core studies in three focal areas (Engagement, Values and Representation), general education, elective credits, and experiential learning placements during the third and fourth years. Students also have the option to pursue an Undergraduate Certificate in Educational Development by taking three additional specialized courses. The program does not lead to teacher certification.
