The MSc Inequalities and Social Science at the University of Leeds is an interdisciplinary program designed to equip students with critical knowledge and analytical skills to understand and address the causes and consequences of inequalities in society. The curriculum covers economic, social, political, racial, gender, and global dimensions of inequality, integrating theoretical insights with innovative methodological training in both qualitative and quantitative research as well as data visualisation. Core modules include the study of global inequalities, research methods, and a major applied research project or dissertation. The program fosters engagement with real-world policy and practices via capstone experiences and connections to the Leeds Social Sciences Institute and Inequalities Research Network, preparing graduates for careers in policy analysis, research, NGOs, or further doctoral study.
