The Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum Studies at the University of Victoria is designed for experienced educators interested in deepening their understanding of curriculum theories and leadership, with special emphasis for 2025 on 'Learner Diversity: Reframing Curriculum in a Changing World.' The program brings teachers together to examine contemporary curriculum issues—including competency-based and inclusive education—through a mix of required and elective courses, culminating in a graduating project. Students gain skills to become more reflective, informed practitioners able to address curriculum challenges in diverse, dynamic classrooms. The 2025 cohort includes courses such as Writing for Academic Purposes, English Language Learning, Personalized Learning, Introduction to Curriculum as Discourse, Emerging Trends, Diverse Voices, and Research Methodologies. The program is delivered through a hybrid model over two years and is open to domestic and international students. Participants complete 15 units (seven courses plus project) between September 2025 and August 2027. Typical program cost is based on five full fee payments.
