The Master of Engineering in Telecommunications and Information Security (MTIS) at the University of Victoria is an intensive one-year program preparing engineers for careers in telecommunications and cybersecurity. The curriculum consists of 12 core and elective courses focused on technical and professional skills. Graduates learn to investigate cybersecurity incidents, develop corporate security policies, and resolve problems in telecommunications systems. Optional co-op or internship terms provide practical industry experience. Admissions are open for September 2024, January 2025, and September 2025, and the program is offered on-campus by the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.
