This undergraduate program focuses on developing proficiency in German as well as a deep exploration of the cultures, literatures, and films of Germanic regions. Students also have access to courses in Slavic studies (Russian and Ukrainian). The degree covers topics such as the German language, cultural studies, film, the Holocaust, and includes opportunities for studying or working abroad in German-speaking countries. Graduates are equipped for diverse careers including communications, cultural programming, translation, policy analysis, and international project management. The curriculum supports double majors or minors in related fields.
