The Bachelor of Education (Elementary Curriculum) at the University of Victoria Faculty of Education is a four-year, practicum-based undergraduate degree focused on preparing students to teach kindergarten through grade seven. The program features two entry points: direct entry from high school (year one) and year two entry for students with one year of post-secondary study. You will be embedded in classrooms early, with progressive practicum placements each year, culminating in a final extended teaching practicum. The curriculum integrates Indigenous pedagogies and offers a French module for those interested in French Immersion. Graduates are eligible to apply for a BC teaching certificate, qualifying them to teach across British Columbia.
