The Bachelor of Social Work program at the University of Victoria's Faculty of Health prepares graduates to be critically engaged in social work education, research, and practice. The program emphasizes decolonization, anti-racism, Indigenous resurgence, feminism, disability justice, 2SLGBTQ+ liberation, and broader social justice struggles. Students can pursue specializations in child welfare or Indigenous child welfare. The program offers both distance education and on-campus/hybrid learning modes. Experiential learning is a core component, and the program is fully accredited. Graduates are employed in a wide variety of social service roles in governmental and voluntary organizations.
