This integrated program allows students to earn both a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biotechnology — Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering in five years. The curriculum provides strong foundations in both biochemistry and chemical engineering, preparing graduates for diverse careers in research, academia, biotechnology industry, or engineering. The program includes significant laboratory work, technical electives in both disciplines, and options for co-operative education (co-op) as well as a French Immersion Stream, reflecting uOttawa’s bilingual education. Graduates are equipped for advanced studies (MSc, PhD) or direct employment in biotech research/development, pharmaceuticals, materials engineering, and public service.
