The Honours Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics and Economics at the University of Ottawa is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide a solid foundation in both mathematics and economics. The program includes core courses in business, accounting, macro and microeconomics, calculus, linear algebra, mathematical reasoning, and financial management. Students can tailor their studies with elective courses in management and advanced mathematics. The program prepares graduates for careers or further studies in financial engineering, actuarial science, quantitative analysis, or research, and offers a co-op (internship) option for practical experience. With a strong emphasis on analytical and quantitative skills, graduates are equipped to address complex financial and economic challenges in today’s data-driven economy.
