Dalhousie University's Chemical Engineering MASc (research-based) and MEng (course-based/project) programs offer advanced training in core and emerging areas of chemical engineering. The programs cover traditional topics—environmental control, petrochemicals, energy, materials—as well as biotechnology, food process, advanced materials, and microelectronic manufacturing. The MASc focuses on research with a required thesis, while the MEng is a professionally oriented, course-based program with a capstone project. Both programs aim to train the next generation of specialists for industry, R&D, and further doctoral study. The faculty has expertise in bioprocessing, advanced materials, energy, and process safety, and offers collaboration across departments and industry.
