The Dalhousie University Master of Health Administration (MHA), hosted by the Faculty of Health, is a rigorous, CAHME-accredited program designed to prepare graduates for leadership and management roles in healthcare organizations. The program is tailored for students from all academic backgrounds—prior healthcare sector experience is not required. It features a blend of experienced professionals and recent graduates, encourages interprofessional learning, and integrates a 4-month residency placement with senior healthcare leaders. The curriculum focuses on contemporary health system challenges, healthcare law, policy, leadership, and analytics, mapped to the LEADS in a Caring Environment health management framework. Most students complete the program in 16 months (full-time), with an option to study part-time. Graduates are equipped to pursue management, administration, research, and leadership positions within health and allied sectors.
