The MSc in Pathology at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Medicine is a two-year, research-based graduate program focused on studying the essential nature and mechanisms of disease. Students develop advanced knowledge in human pathology, research skills, and independent inquiry capabilities, preparing them for careers in academic, industry, or further doctoral (PhD) study. The program is delivered in close partnership with clinical and research centers, offering ample opportunities for inter-disciplinary training in areas such as cancer pathobiology, immunology, genomics, and molecular diagnostics. The program includes a thesis requirement, where students will undertake independent and original research under the guidance of a supervisor and defend their findings.
