Dalhousie University's Bachelor of Arts in Political Science provides an in-depth study of global and local power structures, policies, and institutions. Located in Halifax, a region rich in Canadian political history, students benefit from close collaboration with award-winning faculty in small, interactive settings. The program incorporates four traditional subfields: Canadian Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, and Comparative Politics. Unique offerings include marine issues from interdisciplinary perspectives. First-year courses emphasize foundational political theory and history, while upper years allow specialization according to interest. The curriculum develops strong research, critical thinking, and writing skills, preparing graduates for careers in law, public service, NGOs, journalism, and further studies.
