The Bachelor of Arts (Major/Honours) in Religious Studies at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences immerses students in the academic study of world religions and belief systems. The program explores religious texts, traditions, histories, philosophies, and institutions with broad options covering Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and more. Students learn to analyze the cultural, intellectual, and social contexts of religious expression, developing skills relevant both for further graduate study and for careers requiring cross-cultural and ethical understanding. Students can pursue a single or double major, or complete a combined honours. Courses are administered through the Classics Department and program options include minors and double majors in affiliated fields.
