Dalhousie University’s Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology (微生物学与免疫学理学学士) is a 4-year undergraduate program focusing on the study of microorganisms, viruses, and the immune responses of living organisms. Students develop foundational skills in cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, and chemistry, and progress to advanced topics such as bacteriology, virology, immunology, microbial genetics, and host-pathogen interactions. The program features research-intensive training and hands-on laboratory experience, taught by faculty who are active researchers in infectious diseases, cancer biology, inflammation, and biomedical science. Students may start on the Truro campus before relocating to the main Halifax campus. Specializations and options include Honours, Combined Honours, Co-op, and Majors/Minors. Graduates are prepared for careers in biomedicine, research, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, environmental monitoring, healthcare, and for further study in medicine or graduate school.
