The MSc in Oral Medicine at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry is a three-year full-time graduate program focusing on the advanced nonsurgical management of oral diseases. It includes management of oral mucosal and salivary gland diseases, temporomandibular disorders, orofacial pain, oral complications of systemic disease, and care for medically complex patients. The curriculum consists of required coursework (7.5 FCEs), supervised clinical residency, and a thesis. The program starts each Summer session and trains students for specialized certification, eligibility for clinical specialty practice, and academic or research careers in oral medicine. Upon completion, students are awarded the MSc degree and dental specialty certification. Mode of delivery is in-person; program length is typically 10 academic sessions.
