This specialist undergraduate program, housed within the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto, offers students a curriculum oriented toward the humanities, focusing on reading, writing, and researching in the areas of the history and theory of architecture, landscape, and urbanism. The first two years provide a broad foundation through courses in design, history, and technology, with the final two years concentrating on advanced historical and theoretical topics. Graduates possess strong visual literacy and critical skills, and the program prepares them for graduate study in architecture and related disciplines or diverse careers in design, the arts, history, public policy, and related cultural fields.
