The Medical Radiation Sciences (MRS) program at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is a second-entry professional undergraduate program jointly administered with the Michener Institute of Education at UHN. Designed for students with at least one year (or two semesters) of prior university-level study, it awards both a Bachelor of Science from U of T and an Advanced Diploma from Michener. The integrated curriculum provides academic, simulated, and 42–48 weeks of clinical training, preparing graduates for national certification (CAMRT). Students specialize in one of three streams: Radiological Technology, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging Technology. The program fosters a critical inquiry approach with extensive case-based and hands-on learning opportunities, and prepares graduates for immediate entry into clinical practice or further specialization.
