The Honours Bachelor of Science, Specialist in Biological Chemistry at the University of Toronto Mississauga provides students with an interdisciplinary foundation to understand the chemical processes central to living organisms. The curriculum includes a solid core of chemistry along with required courses in biology and biochemistry, examining biological systems at the molecular level through synthetic, inorganic, analytical, and physical chemistry, as well as molecular biology. The program prepares graduates for careers in biotechnology, biomedical, pharmaceutical research, teaching, and related fields, and is accredited by the Canadian Society for Chemistry.
