The Computer Science Specialist (Science) program at University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) is a limited enrolment, rigorous undergraduate program offering a comprehensive and in-depth education in both theoretical and applied computing, software design, algorithms, computation, and areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Computer Systems. The curriculum is designed for students aiming for advanced studies or careers in the computing industry, with the specialist stream delivering a broad and deep foundation of core computer science topics, exposure to advanced electives, and opportunities for interdisciplinary application. Students can participate in the UTM Co-op Internship Program (UTMCIP), which extends the degree duration for a 12- to 16-month paid, full-time work placement as part of their studies.
