The Specialist (Joint) program in Music Industry and Technology is a 4-year undergraduate joint program between the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) and Centennial College. Graduates earn an Honours Bachelor of Arts (H.B.A.) from the University of Toronto and an Ontario College Certificate in Music Business and Technology from Centennial. The curriculum combines practical, career-oriented courses in music business and technology, providing industry connections and experiential learning. In Year 2, students choose between two certificate tracks: Audio Engineering (focusing on audio production) or Music Business (focusing on management, marketing, publishing, and licensing). Teaching occurs at UTSC and Centennial campuses, with students spending three consecutive sessions at Centennial and undertaking a required internship in Year 3. The program is aimed at students seeking adaptable, career-ready skills for the evolving music, business, and technology landscape.
