The Honours Bachelor of Science – Paramedicine Specialist (Joint Program) at UTSC is a unique four-year undergraduate program jointly offered by the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) and Centennial College. Students earn both a BSc from UTSC and an Ontario College Diploma in Paramedicine from Centennial College within four years. The curriculum provides interdisciplinary education in health and medical sciences, integrating research and clinical training. The program is designed to build critical thinking, analytical, and technical skills for the field of paramedicine. Graduates qualify to write the Ontario Ministry of Health’s Advanced Emergency Care Assistant Exam (AEMCA) for Primary Care Paramedic certification. The first year occurs at UTSC, years two and three combine UTSC and Centennial College studies, and the final year returns to UTSC. The program is administered by the Department of Health and Society.
