The Marketing Specialist (Focus) within the Management Specialist Program at the University of Toronto (St. George campus, Rotman Commerce) is designed to develop marketing expertise on a solid foundation of business management. Students gain both a broad understanding of core business disciplines and an in-depth set of marketing skills — including strategy, research, consumer behavior, pricing, branding, analytics, sales, and communications. The Focus in Marketing requires completion of 2.5 credits in advanced marketing-related coursework, in addition to core management courses. The Focus is recorded on the student’s official transcript and allows for further specialization within the management specialist. Graduates are prepared for careers in areas such as brand management, market research, digital marketing, sales, and consulting.
