The Master of Nursing (MN) course-based program at the University of Regina Faculty of Nursing is designed for Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs/RPNs) with a baccalaureate degree. It prepares students for advanced practice in leadership, education, and clinical nursing, with a strong emphasis on evidence-informed, strength-based care for vulnerable populations. The program consists of ten courses (30 credit hours): four core nursing courses and six electives, of which at least two electives must be in nursing. The curriculum covers healthcare quality, safety, organization management, nursing innovation, and leadership with ethical and cultural awareness. Courses are offered online, blended, and on campus, allowing flexibility for working professionals. Graduates are equipped for roles in clinical practice, healthcare management, education, and policy and are provided a strong foundation for doctoral studies.
