The GENI program, jointly delivered by the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (University of Regina and University of Saskatchewan) and UiT The Arctic University of Norway, equips students to build policy capacity and entrepreneurial solutions in Northern and Indigenous communities. The flexible, mostly online curriculum—tailored for working professionals—covers governance, consultation, public policy, and entrepreneurship within circumpolar contexts. Students complete 11 core courses, 1 elective, three zero-credit courses, and a substantial research paper relevant to Northern and Indigenous issues. Field experience and seminars with community and academic leaders are integral.
