The Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Classics at the University of Regina (Faculty of Arts) allows students to explore fundamental questions of human existence, study influential Western philosophers (such as Aristotle, Plato, Descartes, Marx, and Rousseau), and scrutinize everyday assumptions. In the Classics portion, students gain understanding of Greek and Roman art, literature, languages, history, the Middle Ages, Crusades, and more, preparing graduates to think critically, analyze complex issues, and develop creative solutions. Courses include Philosophy of Sexuality and Love, Knowledge and Reality, Introduction to the Civilizations of Greece and Rome, and Greek Mythology. Graduates commonly pursue careers in counseling, criminal justice, publishing, editing, policy analysis, and management.
